  • 1 loaf garlic bread (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
  2. Place meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  3. While meatballs bake, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Slice garlic bread open lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Place baked meatballs inside.
  5. Spoon warm marinara sauce over meatballs and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Broil for 3–5 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
