  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until clear. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt to boil. Add rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18 minutes.
  2. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the steak until browned on all sides (5-7 minutes).
  3. Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and mix in grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Serve steak bites over Parmesan rice, garnished with chopped parsley.
