Description

Marble Cake is a delightful fusion of rich chocolate and buttery vanilla flavors that will elevate any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in one bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy; add eggs one at a time and then mix in vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Divide batter; stir cocoa powder into half of it.
  6. Spoon alternate dollops of each batter into the pan and swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
