Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove the silver skin from the ribs and cut into sections if needed.
  2. In a bowl, mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Rub this seasoning all over the ribs.
  3. Place chopped onions at the bottom of the slow cooker and layer the seasoned ribs on top.
  4. Pour BBQ sauce over the ribs until fully covered.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours without opening the lid.
  6. For extra caramelization, broil the ribs in an oven for 5 minutes after cooking.
