  • 2 lbs flank steak
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Whisk together. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight is best).
  2. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F). Clean the grates with a grill brush.
  3. Remove the steak from the marinade (pat dry) and place it on the hot grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
